    September 16-20, 2019, the U.S. Symposium on the Nutritional Efficacy of Cranberries, High Grove Blueberries, and Bigen Fruits was successfully concluded in Changsha, Hangzhou and Nanjing. The conference was jointly organized by the American Cranberry Association, the American High Grove Blueberry Association, the American Bigen Fruit Growers Association and the Chinese Nutrition Society, the Hunan Nutritionist Working Society, the Zhejiang Nutrition Society, and the Nanjing Nutrition Society. The seminar was open to nutrition, food, health and other professionals, as well as dietitians and nutrition enthusiasts, and invited Dr. Amy Orwell, a scientist at Rutgers University's Mar-a-Zor and Cranberry Research Center, Ms. Zhu Hongfang, a consultant with the American High Plex Blueberry Association, and Dr. Ronald Pegg, a professor in the Department of Food Science and Technology at the University of Georgia, to introduce and share the excellent quality and nutritional value of cranberries, high-bush blueberries, and birgen fruit.
