, a Massachusetts-based company called Root AI, has developed the first artificial intelligence robot for agriculture, Virgo 1. According to the company's official website, its core feature is the application of artificial intelligence software to achieve "real-time detection of fruit maturity, gentle touch picking, 3D navigation intelligent movement."

During the picking process, the robot can travel automatically, with sensors and cameras on the front as "eyes" and two pliers-like "fingers" on the robotic arm picking tomatoes with the right force, without pinching tomatoes or tearing the vines.
