Paphiopedilum plants have unique flower patterns and high ornamental value.
The research team of Zeng Songjun from the Agricultural and Biological Center of the South China Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences used the single-flowered Paphiopedilum callosum as the research material.
Appropriate concentration of exogenous GA treatment can advance the flowering period by 35 days and promote the development of parafloral buds of P.
This study is the first to expound the mechanism of exogenous GA on the flowering of Paphiopedilum callosum, which can provide technical support for the regulation of the flowering period of Paphiopedilum calla, and also provide a reference for further research on the flowering mechanism of Paphiopedilum and other perennial non-model plants
