. On the morning of October 30, 2015, the Chinese Nutrition Society held the second consultation session of the Dietary Guidelines for Chinese Residents (2015) at the China Science and Technology Hall in Beijing. Experts and leaders from more than 30 units including the Development Research Center of the State Council, the CDC, the Propaganda Department, the Health Education Center, the Chinese Association of Science and Technology, the State Food and Drug Administration, the General Administration of Sports, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Academy of Social Sciences, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the United Nations U.N. Children's Foundation, China Food Industry Corporation, Peking University, Concord Hospital, 301 Hospital, Friendship Hospital and the CDC of China attended the meeting. Yang Yuxin, president of the Nutrition Society, delivered a welcoming speech thanking leading experts from different sectors, including government, economy, education, food industry and international organizations, for attending the meeting and pointing out its objectives. On behalf of the committee of experts on the revision of dietary guidelines for Chinese residents in the 2015 edition, Yu Fengying, on behalf of the Committee of Revision Experts, reported on the DG revision procedures and principles, key technical steps, important issues under consideration for revision, and Chairman Yang Yuanxin reported on the key recommendations and key facts of the 2015 edition, and introduced the main changes and features of the revision.
