5′-Adenylic acid, monoanhydride with phosphorothioic acid, trilithium salt, also known as3′-Deoxy-3′-[(2S)-2-oxo-2-(trifluoromethyl)-1,3-oxazolidin-3-yl]-5′-adenylic acid, is a phosphorothioate derivative of adenosine.
It is used in various applications in the chemical industry, including as a building block for the synthesis of oligonucleotides and other nucleic acid-based molecules.
The safety of 5′-Adenylic acid, monoanhydride with phosphorothioic acid, trilithium salt has been the subject of several studies, which have evaluated its potential toxicity and genotoxicity.
Toxicity studies have been conducted on animals and cells, and the results indicate that 5′-Adenylic acid, monoanhydride with phosphorothioic acid, trilithium salt has low toxicity.
Oral and intraperitoneal administration of the compound to rats and mice at doses up to 500 mg/kg did not result in any lethality or significant signs of toxicity.
Similarly, in vitro studies on human cells have shown that the compound has a low cytotoxicity, with an IC50 value of approximately 50 µM.
Genotoxicity studies have also been conducted on 5′-Adenylic acid, monoanhydride with phosphorothioic acid, trilithium salt.
The results of these studies indicate that the compound is not genotoxic.
In the Ames test, no evidence of genotoxicity was observed at a concentration of up to 100 µg/plate.
Similarly, in the micronucleus assay, no increase in micronuclei was observed in the bone marrow of rats treated with the compound at doses up to 500 mg/kg.
In conclusion, the safety of 5′-Adenylic acid, monoanhydride with phosphorothioic acid, trilithium salt has been evaluated through various studies, and the results indicate that it has low toxicity and is not genotoxic.
These findings support the use of the compound in various applications in the chemical industry, including as a building block for the synthesis of oligonucleotides and other nucleic acid-based molecules.
However, it is important to note that the safety of the compound may vary depending on the specific conditions of its use, and further studies may be necessary to fully evaluate its safety.
