    Artificial cultivation of Cordyceps sinensis

    Artificial cultivation of Cordyceps sinensis

Cordyceps sinensis is a traditional precious biological resource unique to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau with edible and medicinal value.

The research results show that the content of heavy metal elements (copper Cu, lead Pb, arsenic As, cadmium Cd, mercury Hg) of artificially cultivated Cordyceps meets the ISO international standard of "Traditional Chinese Medicine—Heavy Metal Limit of Chinese Medicinal Materials", and the maximum tolerable dose for mice (extra high dose) The acute toxicity test showed that the artificially cultivated Cordyceps is safe to eat, and the toxicity classification of LD50 value belongs to the non-toxic grade, and the anti-anoxia activity and mechanism of artificially cultivated Cordyceps are explored through experiments

Researchers carried out in vitro Chinese Hamster Lung Cell (CHL) chromosome aberration test, Salmonella typhimurium reverse mutation (Ames) test, bone marrow cell micronucleus test and acute toxicity test for toxicological safety in accordance with relevant technical guidelines and management practices at home and abroad.

At the same time, the researchers conducted research on the anti-hypoxic activity and mechanism of artificially cultivated Cordyceps sinensis through the hypoxia experiment of ICR mice induced by atmospheric pressure and the network pharmacology analysis of Chinese medicine.

"Artificially cultivated Cordyceps sinensis is cultivated in a harmless and bionic environment, and factors such as atmospheric pressure, air oxygen content, light, soil and microbial environment will affect its safety and efficacy

It is understood that in recent years, the Resource Insects and Bioengineering Research Center of the Institute of Zoology, Guangdong Academy of Sciences has established an artificial cultivation technology of Cordyceps suitable for low altitude areas
