2 million through the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to strengthen the development of Sri Lanka's shrimp farming industry as part of FAO's Global Assistance Project in Sri Lanka, with a total investment of US$3.

Through the three-year project, which aims to ensure effective biosecurity in the local shrimp farming industry through digital technologies, FAO will build and strengthen national capacities in various areas, including health management, food safety, biosafety systems analysis, and strong disease early warning and surveillance systems to support the sustainable development of the
shrimp farming sector.
