Your suggestion on strengthening the management of drug packaging has been received, and the reply is as follows:

1.

Medicine packaging plays an important role in ensuring the quality of medicines, facilitating the transportation of medicines, and guiding patients to take medicines

At present, the external packaging of medicines can refer to the implementation of the national standard "Requirements for Restricting Excessive Packaging of Products-Food and Cosmetics" implemented in June 2010.

In order to prevent unreasonable drug specifications from bringing confusion to clinical medications and increasing the economic burden of patients, the State Food and Drug Administration has always attached great importance to the standardization and management of drug specifications

At the same time, the State Food and Drug Administration has established a communication mechanism during drug R&D and technical review.

In the next step, the State Food and Drug Administration will further strengthen communication and guidance during drug R&D and technical review, and help applicants develop drug specifications that are more suitable for the Chinese patient population

3.

The pharmaceutical retail chain is the terminal of pharmaceutical sales, and the quality management level of pharmaceutical retail enterprises is directly related to the quality and safety of the people's medication

The newly revised "Drug Administration Law" has been promulgated and will be implemented on December 1, 2019

In recent years, the State Food and Drug Administration has adhered to the principle of serving the people, openness and transparency, and has actively disclosed government information, interpreted major policies, and actively responded to social concerns through press conferences, government websites, and "two-micro-one end"

At the same time, the State Food and Drug Administration has continuously held "National Safe Drug Use Month" activities, making full use of visualization and other technical means to actively carry out thematic activities, close to the needs of the people, and extensively mobilize and guide all sectors of the society to actively participate
