    Aiming at the shortage of core germplasm resources for processing pepper, insufficient breeding technology innovation, lack of special varieties for processing and backward cultivation technology that are common in the pepper industry, the project systematically conducts research on the creation of excellent pepper germplasm resources and the selection and breeding of new processing varieti.

    After nearly 20 years of hard work, the research has focused on the exploration of regional excellent pepper germplasm resources and the innovation of breeding technology, the selection of new varieties of high-quality processed peppers and the analysis of the mechanism of processing traits, the construction of supporting cultivation technology systems for peppers with different ecological adaptations, and the research and development of new pepper produc.

    A total of 36 new pepper varieties have been bred, 51 patents have been authorized, and 182 papers have been published in domestic and foreign journals such as Molecular Pla.
