Based on the representative population survey data of early childhood development in China's underdeveloped regions, developed regions, and a megacity (Shanghai) between 2017 and 2018, the study uses the early Human Capability Index (eHCI) The tool assessed the early childhood development level of 63,559 children aged 36-59 months
