Cell polarity is the basic characteristic of eukaryotic cells, and it plays a key role in cellular processes such as cell movement, asymmetric cell division and cell signal transduction
On September 14, 2021, the Ou Guangshuo Laboratory of the School of Life Sciences of Tsinghua University published in the journal Proc Natl Acad Sci USA the title "Actin filament debranching regulates cell polarity during cell migration and asymmetric cell division.
Through the in vitro microfilament polymerization experiment, Ou Guangshuo’s laboratory found that POD-1 can debranching the microfilament network mediated by Arp2/3.
The corresponding authors of the paper are Professor Ou Guangshuo and Associate Researcher Li Wei of Tsinghua University.
