The organic fertilizer market has a bright future and there is a gap of 9 million tons in three years

According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture, the total amount of nutrients in my country's organic fertilizer resources is currently more than 70 million tons, and the actual utilization rate is less than 50%.
By 2020, my country's organic fertilizer market will still have a gap of 9 million tons, and its development prospects are broad.

However, the current industry standards for the production and application of the organic fertilizer industry in my country are seriously lacking, and the organic fertilizer products on the market are uneven, which has caused great resistance to the healthy and orderly development of the organic fertilizer industry.
All production enterprises and scientific research units should work together to actively participate in the formulation of industry standards, vigorously increase product innovation and research and development, and promote the overall development of the industry.
Fu Chunhua, chairman of the Organic Fertilizer Branch of the China Agricultural Materials Circulation Association, said that the current level of organic fertilizer production in my country is uneven, the organic fertilizer production guidance standard is relatively single and solid, the product quality is low, the proportion of fine organic fertilizers is low, and the brand awareness of organic fertilizer companies is biased.
However, there is still a gap with developed countries in research on the harmless treatment of organic resources and the reduction of antibiotic residues.
The industry as a whole has a long way to go.

Ma Ji, a professor at China Agricultural University and a policy expert on the Expert Committee of the National Livestock Waste Resource Treatment Technology Innovation Alliance, said that the country has clearly strived to basically solve the pollution of energy from large-scale livestock farms during the 13th Five-Year Plan period.
The problem of chemical treatment and resource utilization, and processing into organic fertilizer is one of the important directions and ways of resource utilization of livestock and poultry manure.
Professor Ma Ji said: Taking into account the general trend of replacing chemical fertilizers with organic fertilizers in my country’s planting industry in the future, using reference to the utilization rate of organic fertilizers in some agricultural developed countries and combining my country’s land carrying capacity to calculate, by 2020, the total demand for organic fertilizers in my country will be approximately 13 million tons, and based on my country's current total organic fertilizer production, there is still 9 million tons of organic fertilizer growth potential in the future.
