    News from SeafoodMedia on August 17, South Korea imported 2,203 tons of frozen octopus in July this year , a year-on-year decrease of 11%.
    The cumulative import volume in the first seven months was 16,315 tons, an increase of 15% year-on-year

    The average import volume in July 2016-2021 was 2,348 tons
    .
     
    Frozen octopus mainly comes from Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Malaysia and India
    .
     
    The import volume from Vietnam is 12,508 tons, accounting for 77%; the import volume from Thailand is 3193 tons; the import volume from Indonesia is 376 tons; the import volume from China is 124 tons
    .
     
    The import price of frozen octopus in Thailand is the highest at US$7.
    6 per kilo, US$6.
