A few days ago, the 2016 version of the "National Food Safety Standard Maximum Residue Limits for Pesticides in Foods" was officially promulgated and implemented.
This new national standard for pesticide residues has made major breakthroughs in the number of standards and coverage.
It stipulates that 433 pesticides are in the 13th major There are 4140 residue limits in such agricultural products, an increase of 490 items from the 2014 version, which basically covers the commonly used pesticides approved for use in China and the main agricultural products consumed by residents in daily consumption
.
The new version of pesticide residue limit standards released this time has three characteristics: First, 184 pesticide maximum residue limits for 24 banned and restricted pesticides including fenamiphos have been formulated, which provides a basis for the supervision of illegal use of banned pesticides
.
Second, in accordance with international practices, 33 pesticides that do not have dietary risks are exempted from the formulation of maximum residue limits in food, which has enhanced the scientific, practical and systematic nature of pesticide residue standards in food in China
.
Third, in addition to recommending supporting testing methods for the limits involved in the standards, 106 national standards for pesticide residue testing methods have also been simultaneously released
.
It is reported that the current pesticide residue limits in foods issued by China are based on China's pesticide residue field test data, China's residents' dietary consumption data, pesticide toxicology data and domestic agricultural product market monitoring data, and are formulated after scientific risk assessment
.
At the same time, in order to ensure that the standards are scientific, fair and open, during the formulation of the standards, opinions from all aspects of production, scientific research, management and the public have been extensively solicited, and the scientific evaluation of the standards by members of the World Trade Organization has been accepted to ensure the quality of agricultural products.
While safety is the foundation, it also adapts to the reality of China's agricultural production
.
As the chairman of the International Codex Alimentarius Pesticide Residues Committee, China is one of the few countries that have participated in the formulation of international standards.
During the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, China's ability and influence to participate in the formulation of international standards has gradually increased.
The number of limited standards has reached 11 items
.
At present, the principles, methods, and data requirements for dietary risk assessment of pesticide residues in China have been in line with international standards
.
According to reports, clear tasks and plans have been set out for the formulation of pesticide residue standards during the "13th Five-Year Plan"-6,000 new pesticide residue limit standards have been formulated, focusing on solving the limit standards for vegetables and fruits and my country's characteristic agricultural products, and perfecting the pesticide residue limit standards.
Detection method
.
Gradually implement "import limit standards" and "universal limit standards" to expand the coverage of China's limit standards
.
At the same time, it will focus on China's independent innovation of pesticides, actively participate in the formulation of International Codex Alimentarius standards, and promote China's independent innovation of pesticides
