Recently, the You Fuping research group of the Institute of Systems Biomedicine of Peking University and the Wang Xiangxi research group of the Institute of Biophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have published a research paper entitled "SARS-CoV-2 spike protein interacts with and activates TLR4" in Cell Research
The team purified the trimeric crown protein (1-1208aa) in vitro using 293 cells for research
The researchers also successfully inhibited the effects of the coronavirus on the above-mentioned cell experiments by using inhibitors of key molecules of the TLR4 pathway (including TLR4 inhibitor Resatovir, CD14 antibody blockade, MD2 inhibitor T5342126, and NF-κB inhibitor JSH-23).
Researcher You Fuping, Institute of Systems Biomedicine, Peking University School of Basic Medicine, and Researcher Wang Xiangxi, Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, are the co-corresponding authors
