On September 27th, the State Health and Safety Commission issued the Notice on the Issue of Measures for the Administration of Self-Examination of Medical Institutions practicing in accordance with the law (hereinafter referred to as the Notice), requiring all types of medical institutions at all levels to comply with these Measures when carrying out self-examination in accordance with the law.
According to the Notice, medical institutions' self-examination in accordance with the law mainly includes the following: (1) qualification, practice and guarantee management of medical institutions; (2) qualification and management of medical personnel; (3) management of medicines and medical devices, clinical blood; (4) clinical application and clinical research of medical technology; (5) medical quality management; (6) prevention and treatment of infectious diseases; 7) Technical services for maternal and child health care and family planning (including human assisted reproductive technology and human sperm bank) ;(8) radiological treatment, occupational health examination and diagnosis of occupational diseases; (9) mental health services; (10) Chinese medicine services; (11) medical documents management; and (12) laws and regulations prescribing the duties and other requirements to be fulfilled by medical institutions.
The Notice shows that the administrative department of health and health in the place where the medical institution is located shall, through on-site verification, written verification and online verification of the annual summary of self-examination, regularly check the conduct of the self-examination work of the medical institution in the jurisdiction, and may act as a means of supervising and inspecting the medical institution.
