The Ministry of Science and Technology approved the construction of a national key laboratory for severe and rare diseases

National Key Laboratory is an important scientific and technological innovation base for national organizations to carry out basic research and applied basic research, gather and train outstanding scientific and technological talents, carry out high-level academic exchanges and have advanced scientific research equipment, and is an important part of the national innovation system.
In order to strengthen scientific research on serious and rare diseases and to serve people's life and health, the Ministry of Science and Technology has decided to approve the construction of a "National Key Laboratory for Severe and Rare Diseases" (see annex to the list).
Please urgently organize the laboratory to rely on the provisions and requirements of the National Key Laboratory Construction and Operation Management Measures (National Science and Technology Foundation (2008) No. 539), implement relevant policies and construction funds, organize scientific research teams, introduce and train outstanding talents, carry out institutional mechanism innovation, improve and enhance experimental research conditions, and do a good job in the construction and operation of national key laboratories.
