Introduction: the agricultural genetically modified organisms safety management office of the Ministry of agriculture of China announced recently that China will extend the implementation period of the Interim Provisions on the import of genetically modified agricultural products The provisions, which were supposed to expire on September 20 this year, will continue to be implemented until April 20 next year 3h2 according to the Interim Provisions, domestic importers and foreign exporters of such agricultural products are required to apply for a series of documents, including safety certificates, marks and quarantine permits In October 2002, the Ministry of agriculture of China issued an announcement to extend the implementation period of the Interim Measures for the safety management of genetically modified agricultural products, which will expire on September 20, 2003 3h2
