Hemp is a kind of economic crop with great potential and has a wide range of industrial and commercial uses.
Certain parts of hemp can be processed into medicines, foods, cosmetics and food supplements.
The public, farmers, government agencies, or private companies in Thailand can apply to the Food and Drug Administration of the Food and Drug Administration or the health departments of various provinces to grow cannabis.

Since the "Cannabis Minister Regulations" came into effect on January 29, 2021, there have been 18 farmers and corporate institutions nationwide that have applied for the cultivation of cannabis, with a planting area of about 900 rais (rais are a commonly used area measurement unit in Thailand, 1 rai = 1,600 square meters .
