Foreign media January 24: The U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly export sales report shows that total U.S. soybean exports to China (mainland) increased 1.96 times year-on-year, up 1.95 times year-on-year the previous week.
as of January 14, 2020, U.S. soybean exports to China (mainland China) for 2020/21 (starting September 1) were 29.78 million tons, up from 10.29 million tons in the same period last year.
. shipped 1.35 million tons of soybeans to China in the week before, and 1.166 million tons to China the previous week.
U.S. soybean shipments to China so far have been 4.64 million tonnes in 2020/21, down from 5.12m tonnes a week ago and 1.33m tonnes a year earlier.
so far in 2020/21, total U.S. soybean sales to China (shipped and unloaded) were 34.41 million tons, up 196.3 percent year-on-year, up 194.6 percent last week and 193.5 percent two weeks ago.
last week, China bought 319,000 tonnes of new beans for 2021/22, with 766,000 tonnes purchased.
the U.S. Department of Agriculture's January 2021 supply and demand report, it expects China's soybean imports for 2020/21 (October-September) to be 100 million tons, the same as the December forecast.
2019/20, China's soybean imports are expected to be 98.53 million tons, an increase of 19.4% over 2018/19.
