The Institute of Pomology, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences organized the "International Seminar on Fruit Storage Technology and Disease Prevention and Control"

In order to promote the healthy and sustainable development of China's fruit industry and post-harvest scientific and technological innovation, and strengthen the friendly scientific and technological cooperation between China and Italy, Israel and other countries, on November 24, 2022, the apple storage and preservation research group of the Institute of Pomology of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences organized the "International Seminar on Fruit Storage Technology and Disease Prevention and Control", and nearly 30 experts and researchers in related fields from three countries of China, Italy and Israel participated in the meeting

Professor Dov Prusky introduced the basic situation of the Wokani Institute of Israel's National Agricultural Research Organization and the latest research results of the research group, Professor Guglielmo Costa and Professor Paolo Bertolini of the University of Bologna, Italy shared the management and non-destructive testing technology of fruits before and after harvest, as well as the pathogenesis and prevention and control technologies of major diseases such as DCA dynamic modified atmosphere storage preservation and postharvest tiger skin disease, Fabrizio, University of Trento, Italy Professor Costa introduced the evolution of fruit ripening and softening, Professor Giannina Vizzotto of the University of Udine, Italy introduced the research progress of abscisic acid (ABA) in the control of fruit bitter acne disease, and Du Yanmin, associate researcher of the Fruit Storage and Processing Research Center of Fruit Trees, introduced the scientific research progress
in the field of fruit storage and preservation processing in China.
The participating experts had in-depth exchanges on hot issues in the field of storage and preservation, such as postharvest disease biological control of fruits, non-destructive testing technology of fruit quality and dynamic modified atmosphere preservation technology, and reached a preliminary consensus
