Wang Can of the Pepper Research Center of the Fragrant Drink Institute of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences , and researcher Wu Huasong, Secretary-General of the Chinese Society of Tropical Crops, went to Luchun County, Honghe Prefecture, the main pepper producing area of Yunnan , Jiangcheng County , Pu'er City and other places to carry out pepper industry research and production technology guidance .

In recent years, as the price of pepper has fallen, the pepper planting area in Yunnan has been shrinking.
It is now mainly concentrated in Luchun County and surrounding areas in Honghe Prefecture.
It has become a dominant pepper planting area in Yunnan with a planting area of about 50,000 mu
.
Due to the moderate rain this year and the gradual improvement of local planting techniques, I visited Qiaba Township and Sanmeng Township in Luchun County along the way.
The pepper is growing well, with a large canopy and many flowers.
It is expected to obtain high yields
