October 2, AOC also closed its $100 million acquisition of Ashland's Malay acid business and manufacturing facility in Neal, West Virginia. AOC plans to use part of the acquisition for its internal consumption (producing unsaturated fatty acids) and will sell some of the quantities on the commercial market.
