According to the Afternoon News, on December 8, the first edition of the International Livestock and Animal Products Expo FIEPA was opened at the Barea Stadium in Mahamasina, co-organized by the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, with the theme "Livestock, pioneers of the Malagasy agricultural industry"
.
More than 110 exhibitors participated in the fair, 185 booths were set up, and both local and imported animals were exhibited, such as dairy cows recently imported from France, horse local zebu cattle weighing up to 850 kg live, etc
.
In addition, the fair showcased innovative technologies that contribute to the development of animal husbandry and new phytosanitary and veterinary products
to combat diseases affecting livestock.
For example, for farmers without feed, hay bales and hay silage
can be used.
