From November 18th to 20th, the 7th World Selenium Capital (Enshi) Selenium Products Expo Fair and Selenium Science and Technology Innovation and Development Conference was held
in Enshi City, Enshi Prefecture, Hubei Province.

With the theme of "Selenium Industry Co-development and Science and Technology to the Future", this year's selenium expo focused on displaying new technologies, new products and new achievements in the development of selenium-rich industry, and representatives of relevant ministries and commissions of the country, domestic and foreign scientific research institutions and universities, representatives of domestic selenium industry development regions, representatives of associations and chambers of commerce, and heads of relevant departments of the province attended the opening ceremony

More than 400 selenium industry enterprises and nearly 2,000 selenium products participated in the exhibition, nearly 100 industry associations and chambers of commerce, inspection and certification agencies, more than 100 investors and more than 200 buyers participated in the exhibition

At the opening ceremony, Wang Lei, member of the Standing Committee of the Enshi Prefecture Party Committee and vice governor, and Cheng Shuiyuan, director of the National Selenium-rich Agricultural Products Processing Technology Research and Development Professional Center and consultant of Enshi Selenium Industry Development, jointly released the "China Selenium Industry Development Index (SeI.
) Research Report 2021", and Cheng Shuiyuan interpreted
the index.
The Enshi Prefecture Government and the Department of Science and Technology of Hubei Province held the awarding ceremony
of Hubei Provincial Key Laboratory of Selenium Resources Research and Biological Application.

The selenium expo exhibition hall has a total area of about 8,000 square meters, with 9 exhibition areas and 27 enterprise hardcover halls
, including the World Selenium Capital (Enshi) characteristic product exhibition area, characteristic selenium product exhibition area, characteristic selenium health care exhibition area, biomedical exhibition area, scientific and technological innovation high-tech exhibition area, domestic selenium area exhibition area, enterprise exhibition area, live broadcast area and event release area.
The product categories integrate the primary, secondary and tertiary industries, involving selenium-rich agricultural and sideline products, selenium-rich functional health foods, selenium-rich mountain spring water, selenium-rich health tourism, selenium-rich feed, daily chemicals, etc.

During the selenium expo, 10 activities
were also carried out, including museum tours, academicians saying selenium forum, selenium district round table, entrepreneur summit forum, selenium scientific and technological achievements trading auction, and county and city special promotion.

".
The selenium industrial base in Enshi Prefecture has reached 12 million mu, the number of selenium-related market entities has exceeded 3,000, and the total output value of selenium characteristic agriculture has reached 72 billion yuan

Since 2014, Enshi Prefecture has held six sessions of the World Selenium Capital (Enshi) Selenium Products Fair, attracting more than 3,000 enterprises and more than 18,000 products to participate in the exhibition
