In order to raise the nutritional level and health awareness of students in the poor areas of Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, and promote the healthy growth of young people, the Chinese Nutrition Society and the China Poverty Relief Foundation cooperated in the education activities on nutrition knowledge in poor areas as part of the Pepsi Nutrition Initiative, which was launched on December 3, 2015 by Researcher Du Songming, Deputy Secretary-General of the Nutrition Society. Also attending the launch ceremony were Mr. Jiang Shaogao, Vice President of the China Poverty Relief Foundation, Ms. Qin Wei, Assistant Secretary-General of the China Poverty Relief Foundation, Michael Lindsey, Vice President of Nutrition and Business for Greater China of Pepsi Fei, and Ms. Yu Xiangmei, Vice President of The Greater China Group Affairs Department of Pepsi.In this cooperation, the Chinese Nutrition Society will give full play to its academic and professional advantages, carry out popular education and training on nutrition knowledge for teachers and students in the project area, increase the scientific knowledge of nutrition and health that children need to grow up, and promote the overall nutritional awareness of the project area.
