the first core expert seminar of the "Blue Book on Obesity Prevention and Control in China" project organized by the Chinese Nutrition Society was held on June 29, 2016 at Yide Hospital in Beijing.Yang Yuexin, President of the Chinese Nutrition Society, Professor Wang Youfa of the State University of New York at Buffalo, Yang Xiaoguang Research Fellow of the Institute of Nutrition and Food Safety of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Director xie Minhao of the Institute of Sports Medicine of the State Sports Administration, Professor Mi Jie of the Institute of Pediatrics of the Chinese Capital, Secretary General of the Clinical Nutrition Branch of the Chinese Nutrition Society, Professor Sun Mingxiao, Medical Director of Beijing Yide Hospital, and staff of the project team attended the meeting.Yang, as a direct leader and promoter of the project, fully acknowledged the importance of obesity prevention and control and thanked the experts involved in the project on behalf of the Chinese Nutrition Society. Professors Wang Youfa and Sun Mingxiao introduced the specific design framework and concepts of the project and the progress of the project. Professor Xie Minhao suggests that the Blue Book on Obesity should combine exercise with nutritional interventions to better prevent and control obesity. Professor Meeger shared research on the prevention and treatment of childhood obesity and hypertension at the Capital Children's Institute and offered constructive advice on the chapter of the Blue Book on Obesity in the Children's Section. Researcher Yang Xiaoguang said the release of the Obesity Blue Book will have an impact on promoting obesity control and prevention in China, and stressed the need to propose specific policies and measures in the blue skin to bring it to the fore.this seminar laid a good foundation for the smooth development of the Obesity Blue Book Project. Experts from various fields discussed the framework of the project, agreed on the form of writing and embodiment, and conducted extensive discussions and exchanges on future expansion in the field of obesity management and implementation.
