The adjusted "List of National Key Protected Wild Plants" is officially announced! There are three main changes → |
The National Forestry and Grass Administration released today (8th), with the approval of the State Council , the adjusted "List of National Key Protected Wild Plants" was officially released to the public
.
The newly adjusted "List" included a total of 455 species and 40 categories of national key protected wild plants, including 54 species and 4 categories of national first-level protected wild plants, and 401 species and 36 categories of national second-level protected wild plants
State Council
According to reports, compared with the "Directory" released in 1999, the adjusted "Directory" has three main changes:
One is to adjust the protection levels of 18 wild plants
.
Five species of former national second-level protected wild plants including Guangxi firewood, Guangxi green plum, Dabieshan five-needle pine, sclerophylla five-needle pine, and Chinese honey locust were upgraded to national first-level protected wild plants; Changbai pine, Bole tree, Brasenia vulgaris, etc.
The second is to add 268 species and 32 types of wild plants
.
On the basis of the "List", 21 species and 1 species of most Paphiopedilum species, Dendrobium sylvestris, and Thuja are newly added as national first-class protected wild plants; 247 species and 31 species of Tulip, Cymbidium and Oryza species are added.
The third is to delete 35 wild plants
.
Due to wide distribution, large numbers, stable populations, and changes in taxonomic status, 3 species of national first-level protected wild plants and 32 national second-level protected wild plants have been deleted from the "List"
China is one of the countries with the richest species of wild plants.
There are more than 36,000 species of higher plants alone, among which are as high as 15,000 to 18,000 species of endemic species, accounting for nearly 50% of the total number of higher plants in China, such as silver fir, Davidia involucrata, Baishan The ancestral fir and canopy wood are rare and endangered wild plants unique to our country
.
Since the release of the "List" in 1999, the protection situation of wild plants in China has undergone great changes.
State Council
The revision and publication of the "List" is conducive to saving endangered wild plants and maintaining biodiversity and ecological balance.
It is an important measure for China to actively practice ecological civilization and build a beautiful China
.
In the next step, the forestry and grassland, agricultural and rural authorities at all levels will effectively implement the new adjustment of the "List" in accordance with laws and regulations, and improve the construction of the wild plant protection system
