Public Nutrition and National Health Branch of the
13th National Conference on Nutritional Sciences was held at the National Convention Center in Beijing. Hosted by the Public Nutrition Branch of the Chinese Nutrition Society, the conference invited a number of well-known experts from domestic research institutions, CDC and universities to share the latest developments in the field of public nutrition.. The first half of the meeting was presided over by Zhang Bing, Chairman of the Public Nutrition Branch, and Yi Guoqin, Vice Chairman. The Executive Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Nutrition, Yan Fengying, introduced the revision of the Guidelines on Snack Consumption for Children and Adolescents in China (

) and explained in detail the important provisions of the Guide to Snack Consumption;. The second half of the meeting was chaired by Xu Chao, vice chairman of the Public Nutrition Branch, and Cai Yunqing, deputy director. The meeting focused on recent research findings in nutritional epidemiology and exchanged views with participants. Professor Ma Yuxia, School of Public Health, Hebei Medical University, shared the nutritional improvement effect of children's nutrition kits on boarding primary school students in poor areas of Hebei Province, Researcher Wang Huijun of the Nutrition and Health Institute of the China Center for Disease Control and Prevention introduced the prepackaged food consumption and its impact on nutrient intake
