    On November 22, 2022, the Tanzania Bureau of Standards issued a standard announcement to formulate 15 draft
    standards for inspection methods for sugar products.
    Some of the draft standards are: (1) the detection method of lead content in white sugar, raw sugar and other products, specifically the colorimetric method, with a detection limit of 0.
    5mg/kg; (2) Detection method of sulfite in sugar, specifically enzyme catalytic method, detection limit 4mg/kg; (3) The detection method of copper content in refined sugar, specifically colorimetric method, with a detection limit of 0.
    1mg/kg; (4) Water content detection methods in sugars (including all kinds of raw sugar, refined sugar, sucrose, etc.
