    From SeafoodNews on August 18, Thai Unio Group (Thai Union) Since June 25, the subsidiary Avanti Frozen Foods has continued to expand the recall of frozen peeled cooked shrimp because these products may be contaminated with Salmonella .

    Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) stated that the salmonella outbreak was related to frozen cooked shrimp, and the initial recall began on June 25

    On July 21, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that the outbreak of the shrimp-related disease had ended, but the latest news released on August 13 stated that there were three more reported cases

    With the resumption of the investigation, Avanti Frozen Foods has expanded the scope of the recall of frozen shrimp products sold in the United States from November 2020 to May 2021.
    The recalled product brands include Big River, 365, Seacove, Ahold, Censea, First Street , Meijer and so on
