    Xinhua News Agency, Harbin, February 26 (Reporter Yan Rui) The reporter learned from the National African Swine Fever Laboratory of the Harbin Veterinary Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences on the 26th that in 2020, the laboratory is carrying out the epidemiological surveillance and monitoring of African swine fever.


    At present, at least 24 genotypes of African swine fever virus have been identified worldwide.


    The National African Swine Fever Professional Laboratory of the Harbin Animal Research Institute isolated and identified my country’s first African swine fever virus HLJ/18 in 2018.


    The study further found that there are at least four natural variants of the low-fatality gene type II in the field in my country.


    "The clinical manifestations of these mutant strains have a certain degree of concealment, and the difficulty of early diagnosis has increased.
