Oncolytic virus therapy is a new type of tumor immunotherapy strategy, which has the advantages of high targeting, multi-mechanism oncolysis and editable transformation, and is gradually becoming a hot field of tumor immunotherapy
On April 8, 2022, the team of Prof.
In this study, the research team first performed Weighted Gene Co-Expression Network Analysis (WGCNA) analysis using multicellular transcriptomics, and screened the membrane protein MXRA8 as a key host factor mediating M1 virus killing of tumor cells; the subsequent cellular level The overexpression and knockout experiments at the animal level confirmed that MXRA8 positively regulates the oncolytic effect of M1 virus; further, the researchers obtained the low-resolution structure of MXRA8 combined with M1 virus using cryo-electron microscopy, which intuitively proved that MXRA8 is M1 virus.
Associate Researcher Cai Jing and Associate Professor Lin Yuan from the team of Professor Yan Guangmei of Sun Yat-Sen Medical College are the co-corresponding authors of this paper, and doctoral students Song Deli, Jia Xudong, Liu Xincheng and Hu Linyi are the co-first authors of this paper
