SEOUL, Feb. 18 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's chicken processing exports will increase 59.5 percent year-on-year to a record high of $21 million in 2020, according to a data released By the Korea Trade Association's Institute of International Trade and Trade.
report pointed out that the increase in global demand for convenience food, the Korean current swept the world and other factors to promote the export of chicken soup, chicken meat and other products increased significantly.
Based on an assessment of the gross domestic product (GDP), population and imports of 58 countries around the world, the most promising export markets for Korean chicken processing products are Hong Kong, China (88.9 points), Singapore (88.6 points), Japan (88.2 points) and the United States (86.8 points).
Korean chicken processing products to Hong Kong is second only to the United States in terms of exports.

Korean chicken market share in Hong Kong has also increased year by year, from 0.1% in 2016 to 0.4% in 2019.
