On April 21, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of South Korea issued a notice on the suspension of imports of Chinese-made clam sauce, the main content of which is as follows: In accordance with the provisions of Article 20, paragraph 4, of the Special Law on The Administration of Imported Food Safety, due to the detection of hepatitis A virus in fish sauce and seasoning sauce products processed by China Dandong Rongzheng Food Co., Ltd. using shellfish products, the suspension of import declarations of Related Products in China will be cancelled.
