On November 22, 2021, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food of Slovenia issued Proposal No.
7341 to solicit opinions on the draft quality standards for vegetable oil ( fat ) and mayonnaise .
The main content of the draft standard includes: the definition of vegetable oils , product classification (classified according to processing technology and oil plant source), requirements for permitted additives and nutrients (including flavors, aromatic substances, other functional ingredients, etc.
), and labeling requirements General regulations and differentiated requirements (such as mixed vegetable oil), sensory characteristics of different types of products, physical and chemical and quality index regulations, mayonnaise definition, composition requirements (fat content not less than 70% and egg yolk content not less than 5%), special Compliant (other similar products may be used in alternative raw egg yolk, egg yolk final product does not contain ingredients, but must be in a special manner described striking on the product label) and the like .
