Introduction: a researcher shows Hypericum perforatum, a Chinese herbal medicine used to extract hypericin A new preparation for the prevention and treatment of avian influenza developed by the Key Laboratory of new veterinary medicine project of the Ministry of agriculture of Lanzhou Institute of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences has recently completed the clinical trial of artificial infection of H5N1 subtype avian influenza virus in live chickens in P3 Laboratory of South China Agricultural University The results showed that hypericin extracted from traditional Chinese medicine had a 100% cure rate for H5N1 avian influenza in vivo and a certain inhibition effect on H9N2 avian influenza virus.
