Recently, "Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences", a well-known international journal in the field of cell and molecular biology, published online the research paper "Agonist-induced extracellular vesicles contribute to the Agonist-induced extracellular vesicles contribute to the transfer of functional Bombesin receptor-subtype 3 to recipient cells
The study found that in cells stably expressing bombesin receptor subtype 3 (BRS-3), activation of BRS-3 significantly increased the secretion of functional BRS-3-containing extracellular vesicles, and the extracellular vesicles The vesicles can carry BRS-3 into the recipient cells, allowing BRS-3 to re-apply to the membrane to function
As a seven-transmembrane protein receptor, GPCR is an important drug target.
The researchers first studied cells stably expressing BRS-3 and found that activation of BRS-3 with exogenous ligands stimulated cells to secrete more extracellular vesicles, but when inhibitors were used to inhibit BRS.
Figure 1.
In order to explore the mechanism behind this phenomenon, the researchers carried out proteomic analysis and quantitative proteomic studies on the extracellular vesicles secreted by cells stably expressing BRS-3 after being activated or inhibited, revealing that it is closely related to BRS-3.
