apple
Serbia is the third non-EU country to host the even.
The EU produces around 12 million tonnes of apples and 2 million tonnes of pears annually, and production is expected to increase further, while other countries, such as China and the United States, will see slightly lower volume.
The bigger problem is that consumer consumption of apples is decreasing, and manufacturers need to work hard to cater to consumers in different regions with new products and new flavor.
