    The Senegalese media "Daily" reported on March 30 that the 14th African Comprehensive Cotton Regional Production Plan Review Conference (Pr-Pica) was held in Dakar

    The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Agriculture of Senegal said at the opening ceremony that the cotton production in Senegal has made a leap in the past three years, and the output per hectare has increased from 696 kilograms in 2018-19 to 1,150 kilograms this year.
    The total cotton production in 2021-22 is expected to reach 22,000 tons , an increase of about 10% year-on-year

    Senegal's cotton-producing areas are mainly located in the southern regions of Tambacunda, Kedougou and Korda.
