    the morning of September 28, 2016, the China Nutrition Society held a symposium on nutrition improvement programs for school-age children in poor areas of China and a seminar on the development of national standards for nutritional supplements for school-age children in Beijing. Yang Yuxin, President of the Chinese Academy of Nutrition, Yan Fengying, Executive Vice President, Zhang Bing, Deputy Director of the Nutrition and Health Department of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Cheng Yiyong, Professor of the Academy of Military Medicine, Su Yixiang, Professor of Nutrition, School of Public Health, Zhongshan University, project participants and relevant officials of TangChenBiJian attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Executive Vice President Yu Fengying.Co-signing initiative to promote the development of national standards for nutritional supplements for children aged 6-12 years As the project leader, Researcher Yan Fengying introduced the basic situation of the Nutrition Improvement Project for School-age Children in Poor Areas of China, which was co-sponsored by the Chinese Nutrition Society, the Global Fund for Child Nutrition, and TangChenBiJian in 2012 and lasted 4 years to develop and produce nutrition package products that meet the physical development needs of school-age children in poor areas of China. In Guangdong, Hubei and Hebei provinces, 18 primary schools in six poor counties were selected as pilot schools for the project, providing free one-year "nutrition kits" and health interventions to 6,500 school-age students aged 6-12. The project report shows that through scientific nutrition interventions, school-age children in poor areas covered by the project have improved significantly in terms of anaemia, wasting rate and growth retardation rate., President of the Chinese Nutrition Society, delivered a speech. She said that promoting the improvement of nutrition for school-age children in poor areas is in line with China's "precision poverty alleviation" and "nutrition poverty alleviation" policy guidelines. The development of national standards for nutritional supplements for school-age children will provide scientific and authoritative dietary supplement guidelines for school-age children aged 6-12 years and effectively promote the improvement of nutritional health of school-age children in poor areas. Subsequently, Wang Huijun Researcher, Wang Liyuan Associate Researcher and Liang Dong Assistant Researcher reported on the nutrition improvement project for school-age children in poor areas of China, the experience related to nutrition package and the national standard-setting of nutrition package. Yang Ming, consultant of Tangchen Peijian, and deputy director of Zhang Xuguang shared with experts at the meeting on "sustainable models for nutrition improvement for school-age children in China" and "Research on nutrition research for children in Townsend.Themeeting discussed the experiences and results of nutrition improvement programs for school-age children in poor areas of China, as well as the current and future nutritional health status of school-age children, and signed an initiative to promote the development of national standards for nutritional supplements for school-age children aged 6-12 years to help school-age children in poor areas achieve long-term sustainable nutritional improvement and healthy growth.experts believe that the project has very good social effects and demonstration significance, the project has achieved many important results and key data, but also for China's future school-age children nutritional supplement food national standards provide a strong basis.experts discussed the current situation of nutritional health status of school-age children in China and the future model of sustainable development of children's nutrition improvement .
