On October 12, the official website of the State Administration of Food and Drug Administration showed that Tilavancin Hydrochloride (former name: Telavancin) for injection by Saisheng Pharmaceutical/Theravance was declared for listing in China

Telavancin is a lipoglycopeptide antibiotic once a day.

Tilavancin has a dual antibacterial action mechanism.

In May 2015, Saisheng Pharmaceutical and Theravance reached an agreement to obtain the exclusive right to develop and commercialize Vibativ in Mainland China, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macau Special Administrative Region, Taiwan Region and Vietnam

According to the prospectus of Saisheng Pharmaceutical, the market size of anti-MRSA antibacterial drugs in China in 2019 is RMB 4.
