20 (Russian Satellite News Agency) -- According to media reports in the Russian Far East, Russia's Far Eastern State Agrarian University and China's Harbin Leshi Agricultural Technology Co.

signed an agreement
on October 19 on the establishment of a Russian-Chinese cooperation center for science, technology and innovation in the field of soybean production.

is the breeding and protection of soybeans and
other crops.

Tykhonchuk, president of the Russian Far Eastern State Agrarian University, said that representatives of the university and Harbin Leshi Agricultural Technology Co.
, Ltd.
jointly cultivated a new soybean variety
called "Debut".

Tikhonchuk pointed out that at present, only 8 universities in Russia can provide higher education in breeding, so Far Eastern State Agrarian University plans to send its master's and doctoral students to China for internship and training
