    Bangkok, Nov.
18 (Sputnik) -- Russia's first deputy prime minister Belousov, head of the delegation to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit and Russia, told the media that Russia exported more than 15 million tons of grain
during the implementation of the "food trade" agreement.

"Under the framework of the MOU, Russia exported more than 15 million tons of grain and a large amount of mineral fertilizers, and exports are mainly to developing countries and the poorest countries, especially grain, more than 90% to African countries and Southeast Asian countries
    ," Belousov said.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan previously announced that the validity of the grain deal was extended by 120 days, and the agreement guarantees the shipment of Ukrainian grain and fertilizers from Black Sea ports
    .
The document is part of a package of agreements on the export of agricultural products, which provides for the lifting of export restrictions
    on Russian grain and fertilizers.
The relevant memorandum is valid for three years
    .

On July 22, 2022, representatives of Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Nations signed in Istanbul a multilateral agreement on lifting restrictions on Russian food exports and Russia's assistance in Ukrainian grain exports, which provides for the export of Ukrainian grain, food and fertilizers
from three ports, including Odessa, via the Black Sea.
The Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul coordinates shipping
    .
The agreement expires on November 19
    .

Russian leader Vladimir Putin noted in early September that the West was shipping most of Ukraine's grain to its own countries, rather than to African countries
    in need.
Moscow noted that the part of the Istanbul agreement that deals with Russian grain and fertilizer exports has not been implemented
