Original title: Researchers from the Institute of Specialty Products of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences discovered new functions of ginseng dietary fiber

Recently, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences Institute of specialty stone Indian team in the Sun " Food Chemistry (Food Chemistry)" (IF = 7.

The team used a compound enzyme method to extract ginseng dietary fiber (DF) from ginseng dregs with a yield of more than 70%, and the ratio of soluble dietary fiber (SDF) to insoluble dietary fiber (IDF) was about 1:5.

Further research found that short-term diet intervention (15 days) with ginseng SDF can have beneficial effects on rat food intake, fasting blood glucose and fasting insulin levels, serum cholesterol and triglyceride concentrations

Assistant researcher Hua Mei of the special animal and plant processing team is the first author of the paper, and researcher Sun Yinshi is the corresponding author.
