    9-12, 2018, the Annual Meeting of the American Nutrition Society is held in Boston, USA. The theme of the conference was "Where the Science and Health Elites Meet." This year's conference is the first independent annual meeting of the American Academy of Nutrition, and previous annual meetings have been held at the American Experimental Biology Conference in April, in partnership with the other five major scientific societies in the United States. The annual conference attracted more than 3,000 experts, scholars, business representatives, government workers and representatives of international organizations from all over the world. The conference exchanged a wide range of academic topics and covered a wide range of hot topics, such as precision nutrition, intestinal microbiotic balance and obesity, Alzheimer's disease and nutrition prevention strategies, nutrition and cancer prevention and treatment.

    meeting, representatives of the Chinese Nutrition Society held talks with Professor Hyun-Sook Kim, former President of the Korean Nutrition Society and Executive Director of the International Federation of Nutritional Sciences (IUNS), to develop a Joint Action Plan on Nutrition in the Asia-Pacific region (E-Nutrition Initiative) to work with Asian countries to achieve IUNS's specific goals on nutrition leadership and capacity development.
