Based on high-resolution, long-term daily grid point precipitation data, the team of researcher Chen Yaning from the State Key Laboratory of Desert and Oasis Ecology, Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, reflects the duration, intensity and EP of the Tianshan Mountains in Central Asia in historical periods through 25 EP indices.
The results show that: 1951-2014, the EP in the Tianshan Mountains of Central Asia developed towards humidification and showed obvious altitude dependence
The related results were published in the " Journal of Hydrology "under the title "Observed changes in extreme precipitation over the Tienshan Mountains and associated large-scale climate teleconnections "
