Yang Weikang's team from the State Key Laboratory of Desert and Oasis Ecology, Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, evaluated the distribution of Mongolian wild ass in China since 1950, based on nearly 20 years of field investigations and the compilation of various domestic and foreign documen.
