giant PPG Industries announced that it has completed its acquisition of REVOCOAT, a global supplier of automotive sealants, adhesives and damper products. Specific financial terms have not been disclosed.
headquarters in France, reVOCOAT is a subsidiary of Akosong Group, the world's leading manufacturer of high-performance polymers. REVOCOAT employs more than 500 people and has seven manufacturing plants and a research and development center.
December 25, 2014, PPG Industries announced that it had entered exclusive negotiations with AXSON Group of France over the acquisition of REVOCOAT.
PPG said the acquisition of REVOCOAT would expand the range of specialty materials products, complement its automotive OEM coatings business and improve PPG's existing automotive sealant and adhesive product structure.
