Introduction: at the end of last week, some environmental protection organizations in Poland submitted proposals to the Ministry of environment for strict review of genetically modified food on the market The current laws in Poland stipulate that genetically modified products must be labeled, but these organizations claim to have found that there are still genetically modified soybeans and tomatoes that are not labeled according to the regulations and continue to be sold illegally in Poland In addition, a new law on genetically modified products, equivalent to EU standards, will be introduced and implemented in November.
